flying... what comes up must...(oh, never mind)
I've always been fascinated with planes and flying. When I was a teenager, my boyfriend taught me how to build model airplanes and in time, I could do it reasonably well. It was weird enough to be a girl and do such things, but as I got older, it became unthinkable. And so I put away the Spitfires and Hurricanes, though my dreams of flight were never shelved. When I got older, I enrolled in ground school for the first time, and very recently, earned my private pilot's license. Finally, I've come to know firsthand the sound and feel of a Lycoming engine as I ease back on the throttle. The joy of flying over the tundra and bush of the Yukon Territory couldn't be sweeter. Within these pages you'll find the bread crumbs that led to my present life, a life in pursuit of yet more flying in the form of a commercial pilot's license. But a website such as this one, devoted to travel, can cover only so much, and so if you'd like to know more of my flying life in northern Canada, please visit my bush pilot web forum. If you join as a member, you'll get to see the pictures I've taken while flying...
