When I stepped up to the underwater tank at the Vancouver Aquarium, I couldn't
believe the size of the Beluga
Whales. They reach up to 15' long and 2,000 pounds each. Being a
glass window away from what, hundreds of thousands of gallons of water--
that gets your attention too. But it wasn't until this particular Beluga
whale swam right up to me that my jaw dropped. You can't help but wonder
if they're feeling sorry for the poor humans on the other side of the glass
who are stuck in a waterless box.
